Chapter 429: I won’t let him have you alone
Chapter 429: I won’t let him have you alone
Noah sounded like a wolf who had been pushed past his limit.
"Arinya!" Fenric’s voice followed, sounding equally strained and frantic. "We know what’s happening in there! You can’t just... you can’t shut us out!"
I pulled back from Damar, my breath coming in shallow gasps, my skin glistening with sweat. The fog in my head cleared just enough for me to hear the absolute chaos on the other side of the door.
"Damar, if you don’t open this door, I will tear it off the wall!" Noah bellowed.
I looked at Damar. He looked ready to hiss at the door and defend his territory, but there was a part of my brain that realized that if I didn’t address this, the Sovereign Wing was going to become a battlefield.
Surely, that instinct was right.
"Hold on," I whispered to Damar, pressing a hand to his tensed chest and he pulled out of me.
I wrapped myself in a robe, my fingers fumbling with the tie, and walked toward the door. My legs felt like jelly, and the heat was still pulsing through me, making my head swim.
I unlocked the door and cracked it just a few inches.
The three of them—Noah, Fenric, and Thalor—were standing there like a firing squad. Fenric looked pained, his hand gripping the doorframe. Thalor looked deeply wounded, his violet eyes shadowed with a hurt he couldn’t hide.
But Noah... Noah was vibrating with a silent, terrifying fury.
"It’s not fair, Arinya," Noah spat, his dark eyes flashing. Out of everyone, he was the most emotional when it came to certain topics. "You had your first heat with Fenric and Damar. Then the pearls happened, and you belonged to everyone. Then the fish came—" he glared at Thalor, who looked away, "—and he got to hold you during your second heat. But me? I am the only one who hasn’t had you to myself during your true Estrus."
"Noah, it’s not—" I started, but my voice was weak.
"It is!" he cut me off, stepping closer until his scent clashed with mine. "Now you’re in heat again, a cycle that shouldn’t even be happening but it is, and you lock yourself away with the snake? You say you only want his cubs? Am I not enough to hold you too?"
The raw hurt in his voice made my heart ache. He was right. In the chaotic timeline of my life since arriving in this body, Noah had always been the ’stable one’, the one who took the ’leftovers’ of my time because he was a King who put my comfort and preferences first.
Fenric stepped up, his ruby eyes soft but pleading. "We understand your heart wants Damar right now, Arinya. But you are the Queen now. You belong to the West Way, and we are your pillars. Excluding us... it feels like you’re casting us back into the dark while picking favorites."
I leaned my forehead against the door, the heat in my body clashing with the cold reality of my husbands’ heartbreak.
I looked back at Damar, who was now standing tall and silent, his possessive gaze never leaving me.
He wanted to be the only one, but as I looked at Noah’s trembling hands and Fenric’s quiet sadness, I realized that I couldn’t be a Queen who ruled through exclusion.
Still... My body... My body wants...
"Noah..." I whispered, reaching out to touch his face. His skin was burning, his heart racing under my palm.
"I won’t let him have you alone," Noah growled, his hand catching mine and pressing it to his lips. "If your body is calling for a father for your next cubs, let it be all of us. Or let me have my turn. I’ve waited the longest, Arinya. Don’t make me wait through the winter too."
The tension in the hallway was so thick it was almost suffocating. I looked at my four husbands—the Wolf, the Tiger, the Serpent, and the Sea.
"Damar," I called softly, not looking back. "Open the door."
There was a long, heavy silence. Then, the sound of the latch fully clicking open.
Damar stood there, his emerald eyes defiant but resigned. He knew he couldn’t win this war against the others, not if it meant breaking my heart or tearing the palace apart.
I looked at Noah, whose dark eyes were already softening with a desperate, hungry relief.
"The winter is coming," I said, my voice finally regaining its strength. "And if we’re going to survive it, I need all of my husbands to be on the same boat."
I pulled Noah into the room, followed by Fenric and a hesitant Thalor.
"But Damar," I said, turning to him as he watched from the corner. There was no doubt that my body was currently craving him.
I don’t know what that means.
If my body specifically wants to produce his genes mixed with mine, or if I’m just a horny mess.
If it’s the former, then even if we lay together, I will still end up with his cubs. And if it’s the latter, then there’s no telling whose child I’ll carry from this heat.
"You’re going to have to share the room, so be nice." I said and he gave a regal nod.
Noah didn’t wait. He crashed his lips onto mine, claiming the heat he had only ever heard of and spectated from afar. Now, it was time to taste it.
The air in the room was so thick with my scent it felt like walking into a visible cloud.
The moment Noah stepped over the threshold, the mask he wore for the kingdom cracked and fell away, leaving behind a man who had been starving in plain sight.
Damar stayed back, a silent, watchful presence as the room’s dynamic shifted violently toward the wolf.
Noah didn’t waste another second. He moved with a speed that made my breath hitch, his large, calloused hands framing my face. He didn’t just look at me; he inhaled me.
He pressed his face into the crook of my neck, his hot breath ghosting over my skin as he took in the scent of my heat—that heavy, floral, and musk-filled aroma that was currently screaming for satisfaction.
"You have no idea," Noah growled against my skin, his voice a low, vibrating rumble that sent a fresh wave of heat straight to my core. "How many nights I’ve stood outside a door listening to you... how many times I’ve had to be the ’stable’ one while my blood was boiling."
My hands found his chest, and the only thing between us was apparently my robe. I was a mess—trembling, flushed, and so sensitive that his touch felt like a lightning strike.
"I’m sorry, Noah," I whispered, my head falling back as his lips found the sensitive cord of my neck. "I didn’t mean to..."
"Don’t apologize," he muttered, his grip tightening just enough to let me know he wasn’t letting go. "Just let me in."
He didn’t wait for another word. He crashed his lips onto mine with a desperate, hungry intensity that was far from gentle.
The heat I’d felt specifically for Damar didn’t disappear, but it expanded, flaring up to meet Noah’s fire. My body was a traitor. I’d say it didn’t know what it wanted anymore.
It was responding to his touch with a desperate pulsing that demanded he take what he had wanted for so long.
Fenric and Thalor remained near the door, their presence a heavy, silent anchor. They weren’t participating—not yet—but they were watching with a fierce, protective focus.
Thalor looked overwhelmed, his violet eyes wide as he witnessed the raw, primal nature of Noah’s claim as he was affected by my heat, while Fenric simply looked relieved that things worked out.
Noah pulled down my robe and slid his hands down my back, pulling me flush against him. He could feel the glistening stretch marks on my belly, a map of motherhood, I’d say, and he traced them with a reverent, possessive thumb.
He lifted me easily, my legs wrapping around his waist by instinct. The robe fell away completely, discarded on the stone floor, leaving me bare to the eyes of my four husbands. I felt no shame—only a soaring, feral need to be filled, to be marked, and to ensure that when the winter snow finally buried the West Way, the life inside me would be a testament to all of them.
"Noah..." I gasped, my fingers digging into his shoulders.
"I’ve got you," he promised, his dark eyes locking onto mine with a vow that made my heart hammer. "I’ve finally got you."
He made sure I was aware in whose arms I was being held, and whose cock was continuously drilling into me. And I screamed his name, panted into his lips and flicked when he bit the ears atop my head.
And that was how, continuously, I got devoured by Noah until he had had his full, but I was yet to be satisfied. My body was still hungry, calling out and seeking to be filled.
And so, they filled me, each one of them, down to Damar who held me the longest, and then switching back to Noah, and after that, being held by all of them at the same time.
My body just wouldn’t let up. This heat was such a dangerous thing and it didn’t let up for days.
My husbands had to rotate who gets to take care of the children, and who gets to prepare meals while the rest were busy feeding me. That way, they weren’t neglected.
And just like that, 7 days passed.
