Chapter 1067: Julius’ Domain (2)
Chapter 1067: Julius’ Domain (2)
Chapter 1067
Inside the domain, Orion didn’t really know what it was anymore.
The whole place was freezingly cold that even through his scales and incredible endurance, he could feel the chill in the air.
Though, it didn’t affect him like it should because of his beastly features.
But he could still feel it.
Turning his head around, he couldn’t see anybody. Nor could he hear anything.
Zodiac One, who was sitting a dozen meters away on the main battlefield, was nowhere to be seen or heard.
Yet, he knew that he was still in the town of Kiten.
So what was this?
"Hey? Where did you bring me?!"
Julius didn’t reply at first as blood trickled down his nose uncontrollably.
It couldn’t stop.
It kept rolling downward and dropping to the ground.
His hands balled tightly at his sides as he looked at the Zodiac with a calm gaze.
"... Your execution ground. That’s where this is."
Orion’s jaw tightened in anger as he glared at the Emperor. "Well, who says it can’t be yours?!"
Then, with explosive force, he pounced forward, blurring ahead as he aimed to reach Julius.
The Emperor just shook his head.
"It seems you don’t really understand the severity of the situation you are in."
The suspended snowflakes in the air moved first with deadly speed.
Orion halted and immediately twirled around as his pincer-like claws shot through the air, crossing in front of his face as the snowflakes crashed into him with surprising force that sent him sliding backward.
Ice spears burst out of the ground with blurring speed, crashing into his scaly legs with tremendous force that almost made him buckle into the dirt.
But he stood his ground and pushed past the freezing barrage.
Spinning around, visual ki blazed around his feet, which he swung to shatter the spears before him, causing the whole earth to shudder.
Looking in the Emperor’s direction, Orion fired out five thousand ki swords.
An ice wall that was incredibly thick rose into place as the weapons crashed into the barrier with thunderous force, causing the domain to tremble for a moment.
Yet, the wall didn’t sustain any cracks whatsoever.
From the tundra sky, ice spears rained down like bullets, forcing Orion to begin dashing around the area, avoiding the projectiles by the skin of his teeth.
He was quick on his feet, but still, the spears continued chasing him.
This forced him to vault into the air, spinning around while his leg swung out in a sweeping kick that unleashed a violent blast of visual ki, smashing through the weapons and causing them to shatter into fragments.
Before he could land, a colossal ice pillar burst out of the ground with lightning speed.
It bashed into him with bone-rattling force, such that for a moment, specks of blood burst out of the beast warrior’s mouth as his whole body was blasted across the domain.
He crashed into the towering glaciers, turning them to shards of ice.
But they didn’t fall; the splintered frost rose and then bombarded Orion with tremendous speed and power, making it feel like he was being smashed repeatedly by a thousand fists.
He was driven into the earth with each smash, causing dust to billow around his form.
"ENOUGH!"
A blast of visual ki burst around him, smashing the ice shards away as he shot upright for a moment.
Then, from the skies, a heavy avalanche of snow hurtled downward, smashing into Orion with mountainous force.
He was blasted back into the ground.
Before he could rise out of it, pillars burst out of the ground, smashing his body back into the air with bone-rattling force.
His eyes widened in pain as blood sprayed from his mouth.
How was he being overwhelmed all of a sudden?
Thalos—a Primordial-ranked type of creature, Kira—a lightning phoenix of the same rank, Fenrir—a high 7-star mage, along with Noir—one of the great familiar kings, couldn’t overwhelm him the same way this man was doing.
He hadn’t gotten a hit in, yet he had suffered multiple?
His jaw clenched tightly immediately as he spun around, smashed his legs into the air, and was about to rocket toward the Emperor when a hand rose out of the ground with the speed of light.
An ice hand!
It grabbed Orion’s foot with heavy force, causing a shockwave to blast in all directions as his propulsion was halted so roughly that he couldn’t move an inch.
"I know that you are almost at the peak of what warriors could achieve... Grey told me about you once. The one closest to godhood," Julius finally spoke, but then let out a few coughs as blood spilled from his mouth.
Orion stared at this in confusion.
Why did this powerful man seem like he was weakened?
"... Unfortunately for you, you are in my world. And in my world, any laws I wrote are supreme. Unfortunately for you, the law I wrote today is of your death, so just DIE!"
The hand yanked the beast warrior backward and smashed him into the earth with all its might, causing cracks to deepen across his scales.
From the earth rose a thousand sharpened ice spears that immediately crashed into Orion from below, forcing part of his scales to crack away.
But due to his Ki defense, they were unable to pierce through, with only a few scales on his back being cracked open.
Gritting his teeth, visual ki blazed around his second foot, which he swung forward, crashing it into the giant wrist of the ice hand holding onto him.
A wheel of yellow water burst forward, ripping the wrist in two and finally freeing the beast warrior, who vaulted into the air immediately with the ice palm still clamped on his leg.
He was about to shatter it when he saw Julius smile.
"Ah... thank you for making this easier for me."
Orion’s eyes widened immediately as ki blazed around his hands, which he hurled toward the clamped ice on his leg when—
"Cold death."
The command was given, and Orion felt it almost instantly.
There was no chance to refuse the order as the palm clamped on his foot suddenly rose, with tons of ice spreading across his body with lightning speed.
One second... one second.
With the speed of the ice, it was just one second left for him to get encased.
Glaring in Julius’ direction, he spotted the Emperor stagger a bit as blood dribbled down his mouth, but he didn’t care.
’Ah... at least I took the lives of two more zodiacs before I go.’
Orion was about to shout a curse but wasn’t given the chance as his whole body was now encased in a huge mound of ice.
No chance to counter. No chance to land a hit on Julius before he got frozen.
The deal—his fate—was sealed the moment Julius had deployed his domain.
"Scatter," Julius mouthed, and instantaneously, cracks deepened across the ice around Orion’s body.
After a few seconds, the cracks spread exponentially, with the ice shattering into splinters along with Orion’s form.
Thud—!
Julius collapsed to his knees, coughing out a mouthful of blood as the pale blue sphere was now peeling open.
The domain had done its job... perfectly.
