Chapter 0000 Apology Statement
Chapter 0000 Apology Statement
Apology Statement
I have a silly cat at home, and I am hereby addressing the matter of using the artwork of the Douyin original blogger [扌口] for illustrations in my novel without permission.
I offer my most formal and sincere public apology to the blogger, and also a profound self-criticism to all my readers and netizens.
Before I even started writing this novel, I had seen the original artwork by blogger [扌口] on Douyin.
I was immediately struck by the blogger's drawing skills and dedication. I admire and appreciate them greatly, and I have always loved this work.
But at the time I just casually saw it and didn't follow the blogger or leave any contact information.
Furthermore, I failed to express my liking and willingness to use the product to the blogger immediately, which was my first mistake.
Later, during the novel's creation, in order to find suitable illustrations for the plot where Mizuko becomes a swordsman, [the author] sought to create illustrations.
The first thing that came to mind was this painting that left a deep impression on me.
So I searched repeatedly on Douyin, but unfortunately I was unable to find the blogger again, nor could I find any information about the original artwork.
Without contacting the original author or obtaining any authorization, I foolishly saved and used this painting without permission, directly incorporating it into the content of my novel.
I am fully aware that this behavior constitutes infringement and misappropriation of original works, which is disrespectful to the hard work of the original author and a disregard for the bottom line of creation.
I feel deeply ashamed and remorseful for this, and I understand that my actions have had a negative impact on the blogger and caused unnecessary trouble. I sincerely say: I'm sorry.
As a novelist, I understand better than anyone how hard it is to create original works, and I know how infuriating and disheartening it is when someone steals or misappropriates my work.
Every painting and every piece of writing is the result of the creator's time, energy, and passion, and deserves to be respected and protected.
I clearly stated at the beginning of my novel that I would fully respect the copyright of the original author of Demon Slayer.
However, I myself was the first to violate the principle of respecting originality and committed the act of plagiarizing other people's works.
This not only contradicts my own words and hurts the original bloggers, but also lets down the readers who have always supported me. I deeply regret this.
Here, as the author "Home with a Silly Cat," I formally apologize to the Douyin blogger [扌口] on the Tomato Novel platform, Douyin, and other social media accounts.
Since I have not yet received any attention from the blogger and I do not know any further information about the blogger's name, I can only refer to the blogger by their Douyin name. I hope you understand.
I have misappropriated and stolen your original artwork without permission, without prior communication or authorization, causing you harm and negative impact. This is all my fault, and I am willing to bear all the consequences.
Whether it's a public apology, reasonable compensation, or any other solution you deem reasonable, I will accept it unconditionally, hoping only for your understanding.
I genuinely admire your work and sincerely hope that, after receiving your forgiveness, I will have the opportunity to collaborate with you formally.
At the same time, I hope that all readers and friends will take my experience as a warning and resolutely resist infringement and misappropriation.
Before using any other person's original work, you must contact the author, obtain their consent, and receive formal authorization. Never use, misappropriate, or steal someone else's work without permission.
Let's work together to protect the environment for original content and respect the hard work of every creator.
To remind myself and to show everyone my stance, I will permanently place this apology statement in the novel's chapters and pin it to the top of my Douyin account, constantly reminding myself to uphold the bottom line of originality and never make the same mistake again.
Finally, I would like to express my sincerest apologies to the blogger [扌口]. I'm sorry.
