Some have called the new BlackBerry smartphone the best BlackBerry yet, and some have given the same praise to the iPhone 4. So which is the better smartphone? The following is a comparison of just how the BlackBerry Torch compares to the iPhone 4.

  • The cost of the BlackBerry Torch smartphone is $199 with a 2 year AT&T contract.
  • The 16GB iPhone4 is also priced at $199 with an AT&T contract, though its 32GB version is a little more costly at $299.
  • They both have the same size screen; however, the iPhone has a 960 x 640 pixel screen and the BlackBerry Torch has a 360 x 480 pixel touch screen.

The Vast Growth of Technology in Modern Society

In the fast paced society that we are all prone to in this day and age, there is seemingly a smaller amount of time that can be allocated for an individual task. Whether that task includes something that needs to be accomplished at work, or simply getting into shape by exercising regularly; we are far too busy and cram too many activities into our daily schedules. As a result of this, technology has been advancing on a seemingly exponential basis with the goal of making things easier in general. A particularly outdated example of this lies in the concept of email, allowing messages to be mailed instantaneously to the recipient to help reduce the amount of time typical mailing takes. Additionally, cell phones are being released with drastically more abilities than previous models, making them an all-in-one accessory for some people.

Technology is growing at an extremely rapid rate, and it can be seen in all aspects of life. Evidence of the growth and widespread dependence on pieces of technology and particularly, mobile devices can be seen with America’s youth. Ten years ago, it was uncommon to see children with cell phones, even those who were in Junior High and High School. However, fast-forwarding to current times, it is uncommon not to see a kid walking down the street with a cell phone, even those as young as first graders. WiFi internet is being installed in droves of commercial and industrial institutions allowing more and more people wireless access wherever they go. As a result of this, people with tablet personal computers and laptops can gain internet access virtually anywhere they go. These types of advancements vastly increase the overall communication infrastructure, and open the door to new possibilities in business, with more retailers moving the vast emphasis of their marketing endeavors to the online world.

In all, technology is something that is becoming the basis for our society. More people are becoming dependent on mobile devices and the ease of access to the internet; and advancements are being made on a consistent basis.

Computers and the Internet are very fascinating, but mobile gadgets are also well worth considering. There are plenty of them to choose from, too. There are phones that do all kinds of things, and there are cameras and other devices that you can do great things with. Many digital cameras do more than just take still pictures. They also take video – which is important and something that’s worth considering when you’re looking to buy one. Rather than carry a still camera and a video camera on your trip, you may want to carry only one camera that does both. You can also get smart phones that take pictures and video, so you’ll have all three devices in one convenient package.

There are so many options for mobile gadgets that it’s hard to look anywhere without seeing at least one person using one. Phones do much more than make calls and take pictures today. They can tell you where you are, show you the closest restaurants, let you check your email, and surf the web. Being able to do all of that is wonderful, but it comes at a price. These kinds of phones are not cheap, and neither are the plans that people purchase to keep them up and running all month.

If you really use it a lot, that makes sense. A lot of people use these phones in place of almost everything else, only using their computer when they are at home or at the office and using their phone to handle their lives when they are out. Whether this much technology is good or bad is an argument that could be made, but these gadgets are clearly not going away any time soon. Many people love them, and they are definitely here to stay for the long run.
